Apply for NATO App Hackathon
Are you a developer? Get rewarded for your coding skills! If you have talent and you’re passionate, register, together with your team, for the NATO Mobile App Hackathon organised by Euro Atlantic Diplomacy Society (EADSociety) with the support of NATO Public Diplomacy Division, Total Soft Romania, Romanian Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Demonstrate your creativity and expertise, be innovative and win 2000 EUR!
EADSociety identified a gap related to the professional development and employment opportunities for youth interested in security, diplomacy and international affairs. Information about conferences and seminars, internships and traineeships, but also junior positions in international organizations as a first step in the career, needs to become more accessible to the young graduates.
Taking into account the large number of young graduates each year in these fields, the solution proposed by EADSociety is to organise a Hackathon in order to build up a Mobile App that will centralise various professional opportunities at different levels.
The application will feature job opportunities, news and events managed by the App admins who will post them in a unified manner. Young people who are actively looking for these opportunities will have the app installed on their phones. This would allow them to get notified and access the jobs in a simplified and integrated manner. At the same time, the users will be able to subscribe to certain types of positions or regions according to their interest.
During the two days of the #NATO Mobile App Hackathon, mentors from Total Soft Romania and CivicTech, but also representatives from NATO and national ministries, will join us in order to help us overcome challenges and shape solutions.

Where:
The Hackathon will take place between 24-25 November 2018, at the Commons Lounge (Str. Halelor no. 5, Piata Unirii Square, Bucharest).

Participation is FREE! There are no registration taxes!
Basic rules:
- The teams participating in the Hackathon can have from 2 to 5 members
- If you don’t have a team, register individually and we will find you a team
- The Hackaton will last for two days
- Participants can come at the Hackathon with preliminary products and ideas designed in advance that will be developed during the event
- It is not compulsory to spend the night at the Commons Lounge, but you can do it if you choose to
