George-Mihael Manea (Bucharest, Romania)

A certified Professional Business Continuity Practitioner, George-Mihael is the Founder and President of “Euro Atlantic Diplomacy Society”, a NGO that has been granted with special consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council. His career was mostly focused on research, policy development and programme management, combining work experience in national public administration, international organizations and civil society environments. While working for the Government of his country, George Mihael was leading teams and programmes related to resilience building and international cooperation. He also worked in the Office of the Secretary General at NATO HQ and was a Junior Professional in EU Delegation to Gabon, Sao Tome and Principe, Equatorial Guinea and ECCAS.

George-Mihael holds a PhD in Political Science at the West University of Timisoara and teaches at the University of Bucharest. He also studied at the College of Europe and Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Miia Itanen (Lyon, France) 

With more than 10 years of experience in bringing people together to exchange ideas and learn together, Miia is well-versed in creating opportunities for cooperation. An economist by training, she has a specialization in international business and European affairs. After working with private and public sector organizations, following EU policy debates in Brussels, and building cooperation between authorities and policy makers across Europe, Miia is currently based in France, where she works for an EU-funded cooperation programme.

Ioana Lungoci (Piatra Neamt, Romania)

Ioana works in the NGO environment for more than 13 years, acting as a programme development manager specialized in international affairs and community development. She holds a MA in European Affairs and Programme Management at “Babes-Bolyai University” in Cluj-Napoca. Moreover, Ioana graduated Business Administration in Portugal and took a post-university course in the field of Regional Development. Her desire is to see the Romanian communities flourishing and working together for a sustainable development at the individual, community and society level.

José Antonio Villena Sierra (Quito, Ecuador)

José Antonio is Spanish/Ecuadorian, being a PhD candidate in Constitutional Law and Good Government. Moreover, he is an expert in trade and intellectual property, serving as human rights adviser for the European Union, FAO, Andean Parliament, Mercosur and Kingdom of Morocco. At the same time, he is a visiting professor in different universities in UK, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Paraguay and Ecuador. Last but not least, he is an artist, painter and sculptor with exhibitions on five continents.

Anda Anica (Bucharest, Romania)

Anda has been working as a Project Manager at RoAid – the Romanian Agency for International Development Cooperation since 2017. She is responsible for implementing development cooperation projects in the field of disaster risk reduction and emergency management. Before starting to work at the Agency, she was an intern at NewClimate Institute in Germany, a research institute for climate policy and sustainable development. Anda holds a Master’s Degree in International Development Studies from Grenoble-Alpes University in France, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.

Mark Mukunga (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe)

Mark considers that learning is a continuous process and not an isolated event, so graphic design became his passion during the university studies. He was enrolled in Media and Society Studies in Zimbabwe, being focused on a different approach on graphic design representation. Mark is a strong supporter of 3D (diversity, development, diplomacy), he likes to learn from and interact with other like-minded people from around the world.

Claudia Timofte (Cluj-Napoca, Romania)

Currently an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Law in Cluj-Napoca, Claudia is a flexible and creative person, always searching for new challenges, all of which involving topics and issues of global affairs and diplomacy. The passion for this field arose several years ago, after participating at Model UN or NATO Conferences at national level and enrolling in Public International Law events. Volunteering in various NGO’s, such as the World Organization of the Scouting Movement, Claudia has also understood the essential role of social engagement for our society, therefore her greatest pursuit is to create an impact by each and every project she get involved in.

Andrei Dascălu (Buzău, Romania)

Andrei is a medical resident at the Emergency University Hospital in Bucharest, being passionate about the management of medical emergencies, nutrition and food security. He took part in the 2018 Official Internship Programme of the Romanian Government and cooperated with the Romanian Department for Emergency Situations, while being also involved in different NGOs and activities of public health, global health and emergency medicine. He is always ready to learn something new and help you out.
